Heather & David
November 8th, 2026
Our story began in March 2023, and it didn’t take long for us to realize we’d found our match. We bonded instantly over our shared love for great food, quirky crafts, and every animal we met.
Just one month in, we hit the road for Fredericksburg—the first of many adventures that have since taken us from the mountains of Colorado to the coast of South Carolina and the streets of Italy. One of our most cherished early memories was our second date at The Peached Tortilla. That night holds such a special place in our hearts that we’ve worked hard to incorporate their flavors into our wedding celebration!
Over the last year, we’ve loved the transition of finally moving in together. Between the chaos of introducing David’s Dog Maverick to Heather’s Cat Kitten, DIY home projects and the peace of lazy nights in. We’re truly in the process of building a sanctuary of our own, with a vegetable garden being next on the to-do list.
This past year has tested us and shaped us, but we wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. We’re so ready to be husband and wife, and we’re even more excited to celebrate the "win" with our favorite people!
Our Story
The Proposal
David knew Heather was "the one" almost immediately. By their first Christmas together, he was already telling his parents she was the girl he was going to marry. In a fit of excitement, he even asked Heather’s dad for his blessing in February—months before the actual moment! With the help of Heather’s best friend and Maid of Honor, Nicole, the perfect ring was found and hidden away.
The original plan was a grand, romantic proposal in a picturesque Italian village during their big trip. However, life (mostly cold medicine, and travel fatigue) had other ideas. Instead of a cobblestone street, the moment happened at a beautiful vineyard at the Rufino winery. Before David could even finish his carefully prepared speech, Heather was already shouting "Yes!"
It might not have been the "grand plan" he envisioned, but it was perfectly us—and it certainly made for a much more comfortable flight home!
